Blues jazz music is relaxing jazz music combined with the melancholy mood of Blues.
Blues is a vocal and instrumental form of music based on a full twelve-note chromatic scale as well as the microtonal intervals through characteristic eight and twelve-bar chord progressions. Blues is synonymous with sadness and depression, which is usually expressed in the musics lyrics.
Blues jazz music originated in the black communities of former African slaves in the southern U.S. The blues notes and the call-and-response patterns in the music and its lyrics are indicative of the West African origins.
Making its presence felt in ragtime, jazz, bluegrass, rhythm and blues, rock and roll, hip-hop and even country songs, blues has had a great influence on Western popular music.
Various types of blues music differ depending on the type of music. Classical jazz music is widely appreciated by most music lovers. Even those who do not really enjoy music have found classical jazz music very enchanting and agreeable.
